Peek Into the Future: 2023 Interior Color Trends

If you're like us, you're always curious about what's coming down the design pipeline. Will the '80s make a comeback? (Lord, we hope not.) Will neutrals stick around? (They usually do.)

Well, we have good news and bad news. The bad news is that we're still going to be seeing a lot of neutrals in the next few years. The good news is that there are some exciting new trends on the horizon! Here's a sneak peek at what 2023 has in store for us when it comes to interior color trends.

Neutrals with a Twist

If you're bored with beiges and taupes, don't worry—2023 is going to bring us some fresh takes on neutral colors. Look for warm ivory tones mixed with creamy café au lait hues. You'll also see rich chocolate-browns used as accents against cool grays. And my personal favorite: stormy-blues mixed with moody charcoals. These combinations are perfect for creating an inviting and comfortable space that still feels modern and fresh.

Bright & Bold

Paint companies have been moving toward brighter and bolder colors in recent years, and 2023 is when we'll start seeing those colors show up in home interiors. Expect to see electric lime greens, sunburst oranges, and canary yellows used as statement colors in living rooms, kitchens, and even bedrooms. Not ready to commit to such a bold color on your walls? Try using brighter hues as accents through pillows, rugs, or pieces of art.

Metallics Accents

Metallic accents are always popular in home décor, but 2023 is going to be the year of metallics when it comes to paint colors. Look for shimmering silver tones mixed with cool grays and blues. You'll also see hints of rose gold peeking through in accent walls and furniture pieces. And don't be surprised if you start seeing more brass and copper showing up as well. These warmer metals are perfect for adding a touch of luxury to any space without feeling too stuffy or formal.

So there you have it! Three interior color trends that we'll be seeing more of in 2023. Personally, we're most excited about the bolder colors— they add so much energy and personality to a space. But whatever your preference, there's sure to be something on this list that inspires you. Now, all we need is a time machine so we can fast forward to 2023 already!
